How Will You Shine?
As a valued and successful Kitchen Supervisor, you will be required to:
- Fill in for staff when necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Experienced in maintaining fluctuating food inventory levels, dependent on seasonal needs.
- Completing weekly and monthly inventory checks.
- Analyze pricing on outlet’s food items.
- Establish and order to par to ensure sufficient stock levels.
- Manage rotation and ensure all perishable items are dated.
- Can effectively manage food waste at acceptable industry standards.
- Train staff in cooking procedures.
- Track and report/record food waste.
- Utilize industry standards when preparing buffets or banquets.
- Ensure your staff, including all new hires, are trained to meet standards.
- Help develop menus for banquets, restaurants, etc.
- Weekly ordering to ensure the kitchen is completely stocked.
- Ensure employees fully understand performance standards, review processes, and reward successes.
- Conduct inventory monthly to provide to the F&B Director.
- Know the general operations of the department and how all resort departments work together to achieve business objectives and meet customer expectations.
- Know the commonly occurring challenges of the F&B business and how to overcome them.
- Know restaurant standards and hold employees accountable for consistently meeting these standards.
- Maintain favorable health department scores.
- Cook for the banquets and restaurant.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Attend all required meetings.
- Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire employees to meet and exceed standards.
- Ensure that labor costs are aligned with the forecast.
- Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
- Utilize knowledge of the physical capabilities of banquet space.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, meeting all due dates.
