Manufacturing Technician II

Primary Job Duties:

  • Assembly and testing of complex electro-mechanical modules and systems in accordance with manufacturing procedures, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Utilizing test equipment and fixtures for module and system setups and calibration.
  • Developing build procedures and performing product evaluations.
  • Supporting and assisting manufacturing and engineering teams with the necessary attention to detail and skill to complete tasks in a complex fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties may include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Performing pre-assembly functions such as staging, pre-cleaning, and quality inspection of components per established procedures and specifications.
  • Assembling and testing of complex electro-mechanical modules and systems.
  • Maintaining accurate assembly procedures and clear documentation to assure manufacturing is in accordance with internal and external quality systems.
  • Supporting stockroom activities to include organizing and documenting activities relating to specific tool staging projects.
  • Monitoring of operating equipment and reporting of substandard conditions to ensure systems are maintained according to standard operating procedures.
  • Applying lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and reduce output variation.
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures will be required to promote a safe and efficient work environment.

Required Skills:

  • The ability to read and/or interpret manufacturing prints/blueprints, schematics, and work instructions required to build complex sub-systems and modules.
  • Electro-Mechanical or Mechanical Assembly certification, or other related certification.
  • Basic knowledge of how to use various diagnostic equipment such as multi-meters and other measurement devices.
  • Skilled use of basic hand tools such as wire crimpers, wire strippers, torque wrenches, etc.
  • Key understanding of mechanics and electronics workings in computer-controlled systems.
  • Familiar with basic tools, standard concepts, practices, and procedures in an electro-mechanical assembly environment.
  • Ability to carry out work assignments with limited guidance beyond the initial objective.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • This position requires working closely with all team members. A positive attitude and effective interaction with others are essential to success in this role.

Education and other Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Associate Degree.
  • Previous on-the-job training for semiconductor tool sets, or experience in a manufacturing role combined with the demonstrated ability to perform level I and II tasks per training guidelines preferred.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with our company policy.
