Melt Shop Melting Supervisor:
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Melt Shop Melting Supervisor to join our team at the Southeast, TX facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the melting operations in the Melt Shop, ensuring the efficient and safe production of molten steel while maintaining quality standards. The Melt Shop Melting Supervisor will play a key role in optimizing processes, managing a team of operators, and contributing to the overall success of the steel manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise Melting Operations: Direct and coordinate activities in the Melt Shop, including charging, melting, refining, and tapping processes.
2. Process Optimization: Continuously assess and improve melting processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high-quality standards.
3. Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all team members adhere to safety regulations and guidelines.
4. Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain the quality of molten steel, implementing corrective actions when necessary to meet product specifications.
5. Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of operators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
6. Equipment Maintenance: Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule and oversee equipment maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure operational reliability.
7. Communication: Maintain open communication with other departments, such as maintenance, quality control, and production planning, to ensure seamless coordination of activities.
8. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production data, downtime, and quality metrics. Generate reports as required.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered. No degree required for experienced individual.
2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a melting or metallurgical role within a steel manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
3. Technical Skills: Solid understanding of melting processes, metallurgical principles, and knowledge of induction furnaces. Familiarity with steelmaking equipment and control systems.
4. Leadership: Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performance team.
5. Safety Focus: Strong commitment to safety protocols and a track record of promoting a safe working environment.
6. Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
7. Communication: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
8. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
