Position: Supervisor, Manufacturing
Department: Production/Packaging
Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30 - 16:00 (Flexibility required for rotation shift based on business needs 06:30 - 15:00 and 14:30 - 23:00 )
Reporting to the Manager of Manufacturing, you will be responsible for the supervision of manufacturing employees and ensuring productivity quotas are met within a safe environment, while complying with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and other regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide the necessary planning, organization, and coordination of manufacturing activities to effectively drive packagin/NHP operations.
- Assist in the development and planning of all long-term packaging/NHP processes and schedules.
- Lead, develop and coach your team to high performance levels.
- Address performance problems and issues promptly and recognize individual and team successes.
- Provide job specific training to manufacturing employees, verify training records are up to date and accurate, and ensure all training requirements are compliant with cGMP and Safety regulations.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to manufacturing operators to ensure the effective and timely troubleshooting of processes and equipment.
- Assist and support the development of continuous improvement strategies and cost reduction measures.
- Assist in the investigation process.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical, food or regulated manufacturing industry is required.
- Bachelor of Science degree in a directly related field is preferred.
- A combination of education and experience will also be considered.
Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of the associated regulations that govern the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong knowledge of cGMP documentation.

- Ability to adapt quickly to changes and to redirect priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to supervise with a “Safety First” attitude.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP/GLIMS literacy is an asset).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle changing priorities
- Keen attention to detail.
