Grimco is a national wholesale sign supply manufacturer and distributor that has been around for over 145 years with 50+ locations in the United States, 8 in Canada, and recent expansion into the United Kingdom. We are looking for a fast-paced, energetic, detailed-oriented individual to join our team. The Manufacturing Managment Trainee will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, implement process changes, and monitor performance. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing product quality, reducing costs, and streamlining operations.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Design and develop new processes or modify existing ones to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and management, to implement process changes.
- Conduct process experiments, collect and analyze data, and identify root causes of issues or bottlenecks.
- Develop and implement process control methods to ensure consistent and reliable manufacturing.
- Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential hazards or quality concerns.
- Optimize process parameters, equipment utilization, and plant/facility workflow to maximize productivity.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies, equipment, and materials to improve process capabilities.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Train and provide guidance to production teams on new processes and improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Management, process engineering, application engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, electrical engineering or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect and interpret data.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
