The manufacturing engineer position reports directly to the functional area manager in Orlando, FL. small team within the OCC that focuses on the patterning and coating of optics.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Engineer responsible for production support of photolithography and thin film fabrication processes, equipment, and tools.
Provide technical guidance and support to optical operators to facilitate performance.
Apply lean manufacturing techniques to reduce cost and increase yields.
Investigate root cause of failures/defects and implement corrective action to support continuous improvement.
Candidate will be responsible for the leading the non recurring effort (NRE) to establish production manufacturing/test plans, define processes, and to lead the teams activities for managing all tooling, manufacturing aids, and capital requirements and transition the NRE into production environment.
Development and sustaining of manufacturing processes per customers' alignment and resolution requirements.
