MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

The RiteScreen Company, LLC, seeks an onsite Manufacturing Engineer in Elizabethville, PA, to be responsible for innovating, designing, and prototyping new, original products and creating, developing, and implementing efficient manufacturing systems, reducing costs while maintaining standards of operations. The incumbent will work alongside senior engineers in identifying and recommending solutions to production problems related to materials, processes, and tooling. Specific duties include: (i) providing required support to the engineering department as a whole; (ii) collaborating with senior engineers to design cost-effective manufacturing layouts and building ergonomics for new product lines; (iii) identifying and assessing various problems and deviations from established manufacturing standards and best practices and researching and recommending original solutions; (iv) using Lean tools and working with Value Stream Managers to help improve safety, quality, delivery, downtime and productivity throughout the Plant; and (v) managing capital equipment projects, including analysis and implementation.

Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Industrial Engineering, or directly related field.

Must have any experience with or knowledge of: (i) Lean Six Sigma; (ii) versatile 3D printing and printing materials and their strength/durability; (iii) AutoCAD and Fusion 360; (iv) Statistical Analysis Tools, interpreting testing procedures, and developing test reports based on findings; (v) project management, with a focus on manufacturing/design and cost reduction; and (vi) reading and understanding schematics of foreign equipment, utilizing such equipment successfully, and developing labor standards to be applied by the manufacturers.

Must have a CSWA certification as Certified SOLIDWORKS associate in mechanical design.

Must be willing and able to travel domestically up to 25% of the time.
