The Manufacturing Engineer is a "hands-on" position that is responsible for optimizing production processes, ensuring product quality, and maximizing efficiency in the manufacturing of injection molded parts. The Manufacturing Engineer designs, develops, builds, and integrates engineered solutions to improve production efficiency
Essential Functions:
- Design and improve manufacturing systems to meet production goals.
- Implement cost effective solutions to solve technical challenges facing production.
- Collaborate with cross function teams to solve technical issues.
- Design and build End of Arm Tools (EOAT)
- Analyze and troubleshoot production issues related to mechanics, electronics, etc.
- Program and Troubleshoot Robots (6-axis and 3 axis) to perform production tasks
- Program and Troubleshoot Vision Systems to ensure part quality
- Utilize Ladder Logic to program PLCs to drive manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to establish and drive a project budget and timelines.
- Assist with training operations staff for new processes or procedures.
- Travel to vendor or customer facilities when required to support business needs.

I. Education and certifications
- Required: B.S. degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology is required.
II. Work experience
- Required: 1-3 years of practical work experience in a manufacturing setting
- Preferred: Experience in programming and troubleshooting Robots, PLC and Ladder Logic experience
III. Job skills
- Demonstrated superior communication (written and verbal), teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Self-starter must be able to work with little direction and with a high level of self-motivation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Ability to meet project schedules, along with contingency plans within a designated budget
- Demonstrated ability to think out of the box and recommend alternative methodology
- Analyze, and interpret complex documents/drawings
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability solve complex problems.
- Ability to adapt plans and schedules to a “fast paced” production environment
- Excellent computer skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. Solidworks, Ladder Logic, Line by Line Programming
