Description
Analyze, perform Throughput studies, and create OD, 2D and 3D manufacturing process Throughput Simulations, using Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation Software, AutoCAD, Teamcenter Vismockup, CDraw2, and C-More tools, to evaluate and validate manufacturing process Jobs per Hour (JPH) and buffers capacity and identify process constraints, for passenger vehicle programs in Body, Paint and General Assembly (GA) Shops, including conveyors, lean material strategies (LMS) (including pallets, carriers, racks, tuggers and Automated Guided Vehicle (AGVs)), and workstations, for GM North America vehicle assembly plants. Simulate new Body, Paint and GA processes to analyze and validate new layouts including space requirements. Use Siemens Plant Simulation Software, AutoCAD and Teamcenter Vismockup tools to visualize constraints, bottlenecks, and possible issues before acquisition of machines and robots. Define the number of pallets, carriers and buffers required in each process. Perform material handling simulations to validate routes, define labor and resources and verify whether additional buffers are required.
