We are seeking aManufacturing Engineer Senior - Robotics and Welding to join the Navistar team at Tulsa Bus Plant. In this role, the selected candidate will spend extensive time on the manufacturing floor and will perform responsibilities with minimal guidance and input.
This position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Day to day activities include line support for bus production, problem solving of production issues, development of processes to improve safety, cost, throughout and feedback. This position has no direct reports but will work with all levels throughout the organization.

Responsibilities- Support robotic programming and operation throughout the plant.
- Support weld operations throughout the plant.
- Support production by implementing projects and assignments that measurably improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and employee experience.
- Forecast hours needed to complete a project and work with department leadership and production leadership to properly prioritize.
- Schedule work hours to assignments and projects and track progress to that schedule.
- Create a plan for execution of projects, track progress to that plan, clearly communicate status, and stay on track.
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 2 years of product manufacturing experience
OR
- Master's degree
OR
- At least 4 years of product manufacturing experience
- Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
- 2 years experience with Robotics and robot programming.
- 2 years experience with welding and developing weld processes.
- Engineering degree preferred
- Experience & comfort presenting complex topics to leadership
- Proficiency in Microsoft Software Suite
- Experience in automotive or similar industry
- Experience in communicating with data
- Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software
