Summary
Under the supervision of the Manufacturing Engineer Lead and/or the VP of Operations, the Manufacturing Engineer Intern will support the designing, analyzing, processing, and implementation of solutions to develop efficient ways in the manufacturing process, that will result in high-quality products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides administrative support to different projects within the Operations Department.
- Support in the development of new processes, methods, and production controls
- Assist in key engineering projects.
- Assist in anticipated facility renovations.
- Help design tools and fixtures used to manufacture products
- Prepares operations manuals for new or existing equipment
- Participates in the initial phases of new products lines to assist in the design for cost-effective manufacturing
- Help maintain consistency for all Safety efforts throughout the Company and communicate with plant supervision any deviations of safety procedures
- Process all necessary documentation and maintain records of studies and recommendations for improvements
- Perform other duties as requested by Manufacturing lead, VP of operations, or other leaders.
Qualifications: Education and Experience
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
- Currently a sophomore or later status
General Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office required. Excellent Excel skills are a plus
- Excellent communication & organizational skills
- High attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Time management skills: Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple tasks
- Able to work well within a team, as well as work independently on projects
- Available to work full-time in the summer
