Description

Define, establish, and implement Bill of Equipment (BOE), Bill of Process (BOP) and Bill of Operation (BOO) requirements, including lean, agile, and flexible (LAF) guidelines, for future GM-Cruise Shared Autonomous Vehicle (SAV) assembly and manufacturing processes including leak tests, automated guided vehicle (AGC), assembly fastening, functional test, lift assists for heavy parts, for GM SAV programs within the GM North America region and globally. Verify that new programs execute all BOE, BOP, and BOO, and manufacturing and assembly specifications and that all manufacturing requirements are incorporated into product designs. Produce Statements of Requirements (SORs) for tools, workstations, machines, automation, and technologies, including fastening and hand tools, support assembly systems, and vision systems. Author Requests for Quotation (RFQs) on fastening, automation, lift assists, tests, and hand tools. Perform manufacturing process planning (MPP) using Teamcenter to ensure proper implementation of product, manufacturing, and assembly process requirements. Design and improve autonomous vehicle systems manufacturing and assembly processes, including definition of manufacturing processes and sequence of operations, and Human Machine Interface (HMI) considerations.                                                                                                                                   

Additional Description

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Automotive Systems Engineering. Twenty-four months’ experience as Engineer.  Must also have experience producing Statements of Requirements (SORs) for tools, workstations, machines, automation, and technologies, including fastening and hand tools, and authoring Requests for Quotation (RFQs) on fastening, automation, and hand tools.
