GENERAL PURPOSE:
Under general supervision, fabricates high quality signs effectively and efficiently. Responsible to use and program cutting and welding equipment to cut and weld metals and other materials to create parts for sign assembly. Under general supervision and team lead, you will learn to fabricate custom electric signs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operates metal cutting equipment to accurately cut materials to job specifications
• Operates welding equipment to weld sign parts together
• Sands, polishes, and cleans cut materials
• Read shop drawings and diagrams to ensure accuracy of cutting of materials to create sign parts
• Operations of multilabel types of equipment
• Steel cutting, drilling, grinding, erecting and welding
• Sheering, forming, routing and fastening aluminum
• Sizing, cutting, stretching and decorating plastics
• LED Electrical, layout, wiring and UL standards.
• 3G Welding certificate training
• Ability to read, interpret and apply specification documents, government coding document information, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to apply geometric and algebraic mathematical calculations
• Ability to move materials and equipment, as well as completed projects
• Ability to effectively communicate

MARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitors parts and materials inventory.
• Moves materials and cut parts around the YESCO facility.
• Assists other processes and employees.
• Racks and pallets materials for shipping
• Keeps shop area clean and free from debris to maintain a safe working environment.
• Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned.

NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS:

• Interacts daily with employees and supervisors at the YESCO facilities to discuss project process plan.

Work is typically performed indoors. Noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Specific vision abilities include: clarity of vision at 20 inches or less; and ability to adjust eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
