The Customer Experience organization in Corporate Marketing is looking for a  Managing Publisher to join our Content Supply Chain team, where you'll lead the charge in establishing and managing a robust publishing process for our democratized content platform. This platform supports a wide array of web-based content, including blogs, articles, and more, with contributions from across our global organization.

As the Managing Publisher, this is your opportunity to shape the publishing operations for a cross-company initiative. You’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our publishing operations, from establishing streamlined processes to ensuring top-notch content quality. You'll work closely with stakeholders and content contributors across the company, enabling them to understand and adhere to our publishing standards. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for excellence, you'll implement a light-touch, agile quality assurance process that upholds our standards while promoting efficiency and flexibility.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive publishing process for our democratized content platform, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficiency among stakeholders and contributors.
  • Enable content contributors to understand and adhere to the publishing process through clear communication, training, and support.
  • Establish a quality assurance process that maintains high standards while allowing for agility and flexibility in content creation and publication.
  • Manage the editorial calendar, prioritizing content initiatives based on business objectives and capacity constraints.
  • Manage content taxonomy and content tagging governance, ensuring consistency and accuracy in how content is categorized and tagged across platforms.
  • Lead a virtual team of publishing vendors, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the adoption of an always-on publishing model, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality content to our audience.
  • Utilize headless content management systems, Adobe products, and other tools to optimize the publishing workflow and enhance the user experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content strategy, marketing, and product teams, to align publishing efforts with broader business goals.

Basic qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of the content lifecycle at enterprise scale
  • Familiarity with content disciplines, including SEO, content strategy, and execution.
  • Knowledge of enterprise content supply chain and publishing tools

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager and Edge Delivery Services
  • Clear and persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Recognized as a self-starter with a bias for action.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, and a growth mindset approach
  • Experience managing stakeholders across highly matrixed organizations, often with competing priorities.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 99000 - 216000USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
