- 5 or more years of qualifying public accounting experience
- CPA Certification and/or other relevant license in area of concentration
- Advanced analytical, technical and problem-solving skills and proficiency in area of concentration and possesses a thorough understanding of legal and regulatory requirements and pronouncements
- Experience managing multiple complex projects and priorities adhering to quality, deadlines and budgets
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing staff
- Some experience identifying and/or attracting clients to the Firm
- Experience identifying opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
- Proficient in building effective team(s), working effectively within the team(s), as well as independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

- Plan and perform engagements
- Begin developing niche/industry specialization
- Expand on advisory mindset and begin exhibiting related behaviors in client(s) interactions
- Oversee the efforts of multiple client engagements with the ability to manage and budget time and resources
- Complete engagements, and/or prepare complex tax returns and prepare file documentation for review by senior manager or partner with the expectation that no substantive changes will need to be made and any material issues have already been addressed
- Take professional ownership and responsibility for multiple engagements and competing priorities. Organize, coordinate, and manage while also meeting deadlines and budgets
- Delegate work to effectively utilize KHA resources
- Train and develop Interns, Associates and Senior Associates providing feedback related to our business and the general business environment, their technical knowledge, skills and ability, engagement metrics, and soft skills all with the goal of a positive employee experience, staff learning and development and firm efficiencies
- Identify issues and recommend creative solutions to complex client issues
- Maintain proactive communication with clients and internal teams to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction
- Be the first point of contact on the majority of client accounts
- Pursue opportunities to provide additional service either within the department or across departments, pursue leads and retain clients
- Continue to Develop a Center Of Influence (COI) group for the purposes of networking recruiting, future client relationships and business development
- Recruit new and experienced staff
- Participate and lead various staff training courses or other firm meetings as needed
- Further exhibit the firm’s values both inside and outside KHA by serving on professional or civic boards or participating in other activities which enhance your reputation and the firm
