  • Responsibilities

    Support the MAC USA social accounts, owning content management, scheduling and community management in partnership with external agency. Lead earned influencer strategy for MAC in the US alongside the broader Influencer Marketing team with a focus on souring new creator and retaining creator community for MAC.

    PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    Social Strategy

    · Support Social Media team and external agency on MAC USA social strategy for each program launch

    · Work in partnership with key cross functional teams to brainstorm content and programming opportunities to support key brand moments.

    Content management, scheduling, and quality assurance across Instagram and TikTok

    · Support development of the social calendar across Instagram and TikTok

    · Provide input and collective feedback to Social Media agencies on all creative content ideas

    · Review owned social creator content briefs prior to Social Media disseminating

    · Assist with pre-production on Social Media shoots and staff on-site as needed

    · Review all assets, planned, UGC and real-time for approval prior to Social Media agency posting

    · Oversee Social Media agency scheduling of assets, including photos and videos, with corresponding copy on Instagram & TikTok. May require oversight on weeknights, weekends, holidays.

    · Verify all assets, copy and tags are correctly formatted and accurate. Follow up with Social Media agency and request edits/corrections as needed.

    · Partner with Education and Artistry teams on monthly Artist creator briefs for MAC North America

    Community Management & Customer Service

    · Daily monitoring across owned social channels for awareness of inquiries/comments/sentiment. Work with Social Media agency and/or Online Customer Service to action

    · Manage internal relationship and communication with Online Customer Service team responsible for direct responses to consumers. Serve as point of contact to provide brand updates related to program launches, activations, promotions, etc.

    · Provide Online Customer Service team with brand guidance and suggested response for escalated comments and inquiries.

    · Collaborate with Customer Service and marketing teams involved with community management, ensuring daily monitoring and timely responses

    Social Media Measurement & Platform Analysis

    · Remain informed on social performance through Social Media agency reports. Analyze insights, highlights trends and make recommendations based on data.

    · Responsible for keeping a pulse on competitor activity and what’s trending on emerging social platforms, communicating and sharing those trends with internal teams, and finding creative opportunities to interpret them in the MAC brand voice.

    · Identify issues, patterns and trends in consumer comments/inquiries and funnel information to the appropriate departments with recommended response.

    Earned Influencer Strategy & Execution

    · Lead always on organic influencer outreach including proactive product mailers, fulfilling inbound product requests, and nurturing relationships with new and existing influencer brand fans

    · Review planned mailer seeding lists from external influencer agency

    · Own strategy and execution for quarterly micro influencer Trend mailers

    · Strengthen relationships between MAC and influencers and talent management agencies

    · Remain tapped into the influencer marketing landscape and proactively outreach to up-and-coming content creators

    · Work in influencer tracking tools like Tribe to manage all programs

    · Develop strong relationship with social platforms to understand how influencer strategies are unique and tailored by platform

    · Secure usage rights for earned influencer content where appropriate and work closely with cross functionals to ensure influencer content is leveraged throughout the funnel

    · Collaborate on global social team requests to leverage influencer content on MAC Social Media channels

    · Perform competitive analysis, industry research, assessment of best practices and KPIs (e.g. earned media value) in a consistently changing landscape

    Qualifications

    · 5+ years related experience, e.g., managing community outreach, building brand advocacy

    · TikTok native – you understand Social Media inside and out as an avid user of all platforms.

    · Understanding of how to create “brand appropriate (non-corporate) voice” in Social Media to build authentic, relevant, interactive consumer relationships.

    · Experience identifying and working with creators

    · Experience working with content management tools and/or Social Media analytics tools a plus.

    · Ability to navigate among multiple constituents, platforms, and communities to ensure strategies/goals are understood and met.

    · In-house or agency experience

    · Branding/beauty/fashion/ experience a plus

    · Excellent communication, writing and quantitative skills

    · Ability to work independently in fast-paced highly creative environment

    · Highly organized with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

    The anticipated base salary range for this position is $82,500 to $135,500. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
