The Manager, Safety & Security, is responsible for overseeing all aspects of safety and security operations at IEHP. This role involves managing both internal safety and security Team Members, as well as a contracted security vendor. The Manager, Safety & Security, will ensure compliance with safety regulations, conduct safety audits and trainings, and implement safety-related policies and procedures. This position, along with the contracted security vendor, will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our Team Members, facilities, and assets. This role includes developing and implementing all security-related policies, procedures, and training programs for IEHP, under the direction and approval of leadership in Facilities.

Education & Experience
- Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of security experience
- A minimum of three (3) of the seven (7) years must be in security management, in a position with direct supervision of other safety or security employees, including the responsibility for performance evaluations, hiring, and terminations
- At least one (1) year of experience is required managing a single large-scale property or multiple mid-size properties at the same time
- A bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field from an accredited institution is required
- CPR Certification required
- American Heart Association Certified CPR Instructor required or will complete within the first year of employment
- OSHA or Cal/OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification preferred. Other security-related certifications from ASIS International, such as Associate Protection Professional (APP), or Certified Protection Professional (CPP), are preferred
Key Qualifications
- Must have broad knowledge of safety and security procedures and guidelines that are considered best practices in the workplace
- In-depth knowledge of security operations is required, including managing security technologies such as access control systems and surveillance systems
- Knowledge is required of basic emergency response procedures and conducting security investigations
