The Palm Springs Unified School District has sixteen elementary schools, five middle schools, four comprehensive high schools, one continuation high school, alternative education programs, one independent study program, and several headstart/state preschools. Job Summary
Under the direction of the Manager - District Security, patrol and supervise campus activities to ensure the well-being and safety of students, staff and visitors in non-classroom and classroom activities; ensure student compliance with school and organizational rules and procedures; communicate observations and incidents according to established procedures.
Requirements / Qualifications
Valid California Class C driver's license and evidence of insurability.
Print out of H-6 (good driving record documentation) is required at time of employment.
Successful completion of the SB1626 Campus Security Safety Program - Certificate required within 4 days of hire (if you currently have SB1626 certificate please attach to your application).
Valid First Aide/CPR Certificate - required within 4 days of hire.
Application will not be considered without the following:
Completion of Target Sketch Assessment before posting deadline (assessment found on your edjoin account).
Applications not completed in it's entirety will not be considered (Record of Work Experience)

Minimum Qualifications:
Any combination of experience and training, which would indicate possession of the knowledge,
skills and abilities, listed in the job description.
An example of an acceptable combination is:Graduation from high school and one year of experience working with students.
Education: High School Graduation or Equivalent (GED)
The Campus Safety Assistant provides for the safety and welfare of students during classroom and non-classroom activities;
minimizes the frequency and/or severity of harmful incidents; and communicates observations and/or incidents that have a potential impact on the general well being of students,
school personnel, and/or visitors.
