SUMMARY:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Safety Manager with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate should possess supervisory experience, demonstrate proficiency in managing safety programs, and exhibit strong collaboration skills. This role involves overseeing Safety Specialists, managing safety initiatives, developing training activities, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all aspects of the Safety or HSE program, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Supervise a team of Safety Specialists, providing guidance and support to enhance the overall safety culture.
- Collaborate with operations, technical, and supply chain departments to personalize and standardize safety culture and training programs.
- Provide on-site safety oversight for special projects and train individuals to perform this role effectively.
- Understand and utilize incident management procedures, including the development of investigative techniques and Root Cause analysis.
- Develop, modify, monitor, and initiate training activities, measuring their effectiveness and making necessary adjustments.
- Recommend and follow-up on corrective actions on a global scale and within specific contexts, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Understand the measurement of safety data and utilize this information to enhance safety programs.
- Ability to travel as needed to engage in company and customer events, representing the organization's commitment to safety.
- Make monthly and annual plans for safety meetings and areas of training, keeping the workforce informed and prepared.
- Conduct regular audits of the safety initiative and generate comprehensive reports for leadership, highlighting areas of success and improvement.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION, AND EXPERIENCE
- Batchelor degree or Proven experience in the oil and gas industry with diversified knowledge of safety practices.
- Previous supervisory experience and a track record of effectively managing teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with customers, employees, and various departments.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, incident management, and root cause analysis.
- Ability to develop, modify, and monitor safety training programs, ensuring they meet industry standards.
- Proficiency in recommending and implementing corrective actions to enhance safety performance.
- Detail-oriented and organized approach to manage safety programs effectively.
- Willingness to travel as needed and actively participate in company and customer events.
