MISO is searching for a Manager Resource Adequacy. This position is equal parts interpersonal and technical:
Your interpersonal skills will be applied as you develop team members with a focus on business continuity, skillset relevance, and succession planning. You will also support stakeholders with their participation in MISO's Resource Adequacy construct by providing guidance around tools, processes, and tariff/BPM requirements.
Your technical skills will help manage the base business activities necessary to ensure Resource Adequacy outcomes are achieved in a timely and tariff-compliant manner. This role will also drive enhancements to improve efficiency while also ensuring reliable integration of changes driven by Resource Adequacy reforms within our tools and processes.
In one year as our Manager Resource Adequacy,you will know you were successful if you can:
- Develop and apply a solid understanding of Resource Adequacy business practices, tools & stakeholder needs to sustain and improve ongoing Resource Adequacy activities and outcomes.
- Utilize forged relationships to lead internal and external stakeholders to drive Resource Adequacy policy changes in response to the Reliability Imperative.
We are looking for leaders who possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, or related field, (or 4 years relevant work experience equivalency) and at least three years' experience in an energy related field.
While not required, it would be great if you also possessed:
- Master's degree in a related field
- Specific experience within any of the following: ISO/RTO Resource Adequacy, Utility resource planning, state regulatory engagement, energy/capacity market design or operations.
Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
