This position will manage the Reliability Engineering function and Test Labs. This includes reliability and validation of new and existing products, as well as management of product testing, equipment and all aspects of running a laboratory to test and analyze electronic components.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
This position will manage the Reliability Engineering function and Test Labs. This includes reliability and validation of new and existing products, as well as management of product testing, equipment and all aspects of running a laboratory to test and analyze electronic components.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise team in establishing / executing reliability tests and providing failure analysis support.
- Test Lab
- Schedule and execute workflows in the reliability lab.
- Analyze results from lab testing and recommend improvement actions as appropriate.
- Maintain equipment for reliability testing, failure analysis and measurement for this facility.
- Manage capital equipment purchases.
- Provide support to global test lab equipment and resource capabilities.
- Reliability Engineering
- Manage the establishment of product qualifications & Tests to assess product reliability.
- Develop new tests as they relate to new product technologies; recommend / drive test improvements and new test methods.
- Review technical reports for internal and external customers.
- Apply reliability statistical techniques in test design and data analysis.
- Manage multiple projects and communicate status / roadblocks as required. Must be able to quickly manage and adapt to project changes made by the team and customers.

POSITION/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent with a minimum 5-7 years of experience managing Reliability Engineering and lab operations.
- Knowledge of electronics and electrical components, Statistical Techniques, Design of Experiments
- Must be experienced in the use of Excel; Experience in Minitab, LabVIEW and Weibull a plus
- Must possess excellent technical writing and project management skills with the ability to provide reports for direct customer consumption.
- Experience with managing the operation / maintenance of environmental test chambers (i.e. thermal shock, temperature cycling), and inspection measurement and analytical equipment (X-Ray, FTIR, SEM)
- Must be able to comprehend specification documentation / industry standards and ensure Knowles testing meets these requirements.
- Candidate must be detail oriented.
