THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, testing, and managing systems to guarantee enterprise-level resilience across our GCP and Azure cloud platforms. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the delivery of highly available, always-on solutions. You'll establish processes, schedules, and deliverables aligned with critical data points to support all cloud services. YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:

• Sustainability Engineering: Leads overall sustainability for systems including scheduling, monitoring and testing of our platform resiliency. Documents business case options for design to address sustainability and system efficiency impacts where appropriate. Investigates and recommends components and subsystems that meet sustainability criteria.
• Systems Design: Assesses appropriate design standards, methods and tools in order to design complex systems. and ensure they are applied effectively. Reviews system designs to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and system integrations. They will evaluate impact of major design options as well as assess and manage associated risks. Ensures that the system design balances function, service quality, fiscal responsibility and security.
• Systems Development: Undertakes the Interpretation, execution and documentation of complex test scripts using agreed methods and standards. Record and analyze actions and results maintain a defect tracker. Reviews test results and modifies tests where appropriate. Provide reports on progress, anomalies, risks and issues associated with the overall project. Reports on system quality and collects metrics on test cases. Identify process improvements and contribute to corporate testing standards and definition of enterprise best practices.
  

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leverage monitoring and testing tools to build dashboards detailing KPI's associated with platform resiliency that are standardized across environments.
• Plan, execute and report on resiliency real time in an always-on approach to platform and application services.
• Work with architecture, engineering and product teams to establish solution patterns and ensure adherence to overall design to support resiliency at each layer of a solution.
• Work with cross functional Product owners to remediate technical debt that is identified through the testing plans.
• Provide detailed reporting on resiliency to senior leadership.

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or applicable work experience.
• 5+ years Cloud Engineering experience with focus on Azure and GCP
• Experience creating and executing platform resiliency testing strategies
• Experience leading a program/project working with multiple stakeholders to deliver on resiliency strategies
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with internal/external customers, vendors, management in both formal and informal situations.
• GCP and Azure certification preferred
• Working knowledge of Ansible and Terraform
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks, while demonstrating poise in a high-pressure environment.
• Extremely self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
• Minimal travel required (training/conferences)
