Equity Residential is seeking a talented Manager, Operations Initiatives to join our Operations Strategy team to focus on the company's strategic initiatives with high value potential. You'll be at the forefront of shaping how our onsite and centralized teams reimagine, embrace and adopt the next generation of ideas, processes and technology.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Lead Key Initiatives (50%):
- Assemble and lead cross functional project teams to deploy initiatives such as Security Deposit Alternatives, move-out process improvements, ancillary revenue opportunities, and more.
- Define project scopes and business requirements, maintain project plans, communicate progress to stakeholders, and develop training and policy guidance ensuring successful initiatives transition into steady state.
- Lend support to adjacent operations projects with expertise from communications to ROI analysis to project management.
Strategy & Project Development (35%):
- Contribute to our strategic initiatives roadmap, stay current on industry trends, and build strategic partnerships.
- Leverage internal and external data to develop business cases and craft compelling narratives for potential initiatives.
- Research proptech companies and maintain white papers and market scans to establish EQR position on industry trends.
Data Analysis & Reporting (15%):
- Dive deep into performance data, extract and analyze data from various sources, and create informative dashboards using our data analytics tools.

REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree required with 5+ years of experience in residential property management, commercial real estate, hospitality, or proptech.
- Experience in managing project teams is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and Google Apps for Business.
- Strong project management and organization skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the experience to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- A demonstrated ability to collaborate and build constructive working relationships that foster cooperation and teamwork.
- A willingness and ability for overnight travel, as necessary to EQR markets and industry conferences (up to 20%).
