J&J Innovation Medicine (JJIM), a member of Johnson & Johnson’s Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Manager, Oncology Business Strategy and Operations, based in Spring House, PA and remote for the right candidate.
We discover and develop innovative medical solutions to address meaningful unmet medical needs in oncology, immunology, neuroscience, infectious diseases and vaccines, and cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
The position works closely with the Oncology Strategy and Operations Support Leader(s), TA and DAS leadership, project teams, and functional partners, to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of the Oncology portfolio, development and implementation of efficiency initiatives, and management of critical strategic early portfolio alliances and external collaborations.

In this role, you will:
- Provide business Strategy and support to key areas of growth and emerging areas of scientific interest, with a primary focus in cell therapy
- Support and manage the cross-functional activities required for successful implementation and alignment of strategies across the portfolio, including decision support and analysis.
- Support program prioritization and resource planning to help drive the strategic direction of the Oncology portfolio.
- Strategic and Alliance Management Support: Provide operational and collaboration support to critical platforms, lead internal and external alliance efforts to optimize effectiveness of teams and improve clarity of roles & responsibilities, and enhance partnerships between teams to optimize efficiency and impact of scientific efforts.
- Coordinate key portfolio reporting and operational process management. Assist in tracking of the portfolio, analytics, reporting and end to end integrated planning efforts as appropriate.
- Provide operational support and direction to cross-functional Discovery Project Teams and Compound Development Teams to ensure strategic plans are executed and resource is optimized.
- Provide strategic and operational support to Oncology senior leadership team in development, implementation of critical initiatives.
- Provide additional support to teams, collaborations, and/or projects as business needs evolve.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor level degree required with at least 8 years demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams, projects, and/or alliances OR a Ph.D or Master with at least 6 years demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams, projects, and/or alliances is required.
- Biology background is required. Oncology, Immunology, or biological engineering is preferred.
- Hard-working and upbeat individual with strong interpersonal skills who also demonstrates knowledge of Oncology drug development, alliance management, and processes is required.
- Background in cell therapy or relevant immunology fields preferred
- Adaptable mentality with ability to balance multiple activities simultaneously is required.
- Proven record of success managing projects in a sophisticated, cross-functional, research-based pharmaceutical company is required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build robust working relationships is required.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $144k to $195K.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis
