POSITION: Manager of Low Carbon Technologies

DUTIES: Develop market-entry and value-stacking strategy segments for portfolio of Low-carbon products by combining policy, technology, economics, and financial frameworks. Deliver financial models to evaluate potential for wind and green hydrogen projects including models comprised of LCOE, balance sheets, income statements, cashflow statements, offtake forecast, developer and buyer considerations, investor IRRs before and after flip, free cashflows, financial sensitivity analysis, simple and expanded tax models, NPV, and leverage. Provide expertise to product teams bidding for wind energy and energy transition projects. Direct product teams in establishing academic partnerships, responding to RFIs. Apply for RD&D grants from the US Department of Energy (DoE), California Energy Commission (CEC), BEIS UK, Sintef Norway, European Investment Bank (EIB), Horizon 2020, Australian Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC), and Canadian Natural Gas Innovation Fund (NGIF). Apply advanced knowledge of catalyst-coated electrolyzer membranes, EV charging, geothermal drilling, and compressed air storage. Use Digital Twins, CCUS, SolarTrackers, mobile onshore quick-lift wind installation cranes, and moorings for floating offshore wind. Select partners for decarbonization and sustainability pilot projects. Review business plans for new products and choose corporate sponsorship and exhibition opportunities for renewable industry events. Provide market-based roadmaps to product teams in all business segments to enable decision making for NOV's Low Carbon portfolio. Advise management on long-term market trajectories by leveraging professional experience in financial analysis, technology evaluation, and risk management. Synthesize policy frameworks, competitive landscapes, growth and integration opportunities, and project financing options for new initiatives. Recommend partners, risk management options, and value-creation frameworks. Work closely with sales and marketing, engineering, and research and development (R&D) teams on technology commercialization. Direct grant-solicitation efforts for product teams seeking federal and state research and development (R&D) grants in renewable energy. Build relationships with external specialists and consultants in Low Carbon energy technologies. Represent NOV at tradeshows and industry conferences and host international collaborators at NOV for greenfield and project-based opportunities. Perform financial analysis including discounted cash flow statement to review potential returns and profitability. Evaluate technology for feasibility using Technological Readiness Level (TRL). Complete energy projects' risk management and strategic viability.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Energy or Management in Energy and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or two (2) years of experience in a related occupation delivering financial models to evaluate potential for wind and green hydrogen projects including models comprised of LCOE, balance sheets, income statements, cashflow statements, offtake forecast, developer and buyer considerations, investor IRRs before and after flip, free cashflows, financial sensitivity analysis, simple and expanded tax models, NPV, and leverage; providing expertise to product teams bidding for wind energy and energy transition projects; directing product teams in establishing academic partnerships, responding to RFIs; applying for RD&D grants from the US Department of Energy (DoE), California Energy Commission (CEC), BEIS UK, Sintef Norway, European Investment Bank (EIB), Horizon 2020, Australian Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC), and Canadian Natural Gas Innovation Fund (NGIF); applying advanced knowledge of catalyst-coated electrolyzer membranes, EV charging, geothermal drilling, and compressed air storage; using Digital Twins, CCUS, SolarTrackers, mobile onshore quick-lift wind installation cranes, and moorings for floating offshore wind; performing financial analysis including discounted cash flow statement to review potential returns and profitability; evaluating technology for feasibility using Technological Readiness Level (TRL); and completing energy projects' risk management and strategic viability.
