The Manager of Enrollment Management Communications (EM Comms) manages all communications for undergraduate prospective students throughout the enrollment funnel from the inquiry stage to currently enrolled students.
The EM Comms Manager oversees a team to produce, write, edit, and prepare all printed and digital communications. This position will create and lead marketing/communications plans with a particular focus on database marketing and email marketing.
Part of the Enrollment Management division, this position reports to the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Marketing & Recruitment and leads the EM Comms team to support areas within Enrollment Management, including: Admissions/Recruitment, Customer Relationship Management & Insights, Campus Visit Experience & Community Partnerships, Financial Aid, Enrollment Services Center, Admissions Processing, and Registrar. The EM Comms team also supports other functions of onboarding communications for new prospective undergraduate students.
Responsibilities:
Communications Operations – Provide day-to-day operational oversight in creating printed and digital communications, including creating campaigns, nurturing email communication flows, creating marketing automation, developing and implementing a social media strategy, and leveraging CRM opportunities.
Campaign Execution – Develop and build out multi-channel campaigns that consider the full journey of a student (prospective and current). Work with graphic design, print, and mail vendors to facilitate large mailings.
Inquiry Management – Execute and manage digital inquiry generation and cultivation plans through various landing pages and enrollment focused websites.
CRM Integration – Manage CRM operational process for outbound email nurturing campaigns by establishing processes, best practices and recommending new CRM tactics and features to test and launch.
Marketing – Support enrollment/recruitment efforts, special events, video production, digital advertising and all marketing and lead generation activities.
Collaboration – Foster collaboration and strong working relationships with key stakeholders internal and external within Enrollment Management and Texas A&M-San Antonio.
Reporting and Compliance – Measure and create reports and/or dashboards on pertinent campaign metrics and ROI to communicate outcomes and drive recruitment strategy.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree
Five (5) years of related experience
Preferred Experience:
Five (5) years of related experience including two (2) years of related supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Familiarity with Google, Teams, Zoom and other digital software is helpful.
Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Must have a great mind and temperament for customer service!
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
