PURPOSE
The Division of Enrollment Management is charged with efforts surrounding the recruitment, enrollment, matriculation, and engagement regarding the successful persistence of students at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. The Assistant Vice President is charged with overseeing the pre-enrollment services designed to recruit, admit, and onboard prospective students at the undergraduate and graduate level. The Assistant Vice President provides immediate oversight to the Directors of Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate Admissions, International Admissions, and Enrollment Processing. The Assistant Vice President reports to the Vice President for Enrollment Management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • 20% - Lead and coordinate the practical effort to identify, recruit, and enroll a student body from various backgrounds in coordination with the institutional mission and objectives outlined in the TAMU-CC strategic plan, within administrative goals, and according to appropriate fiscal trends and models.
  • 20% - Provide overall hiring and supervision to the directors and the staff associated with the following units: Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate Admissions, International Admissions, and Enrollment Processing. This includes maintaining weekly, monthly, and annual reports as to the assessment of objectives of the units and regularly provide feedback and evaluation to the Vice President and institutional representatives.
  • 15% - Actively collaborate in a professional manner with administrative, academic, and service units across the University, as well as with target community/alumni groups, to develop and sustain overall enrollment and persistence objectives. This includes soliciting engagement that supports targeted enrollment activities and programs. This also extends to work with divisional and campus leadership to establish annual metrics to ensure proper progression in the admission and onboarding life cycle.
  • 15% - Work collaboratively with the Division of Institutional Advancement/Marketing & Communications to plan and execute strategic enrollment communications at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
  • 10% - Work collaboratively with the Vice President and department heads across the Enrollment Management units for policy planning, resource allocation, as well as the coordination of necessary assessment outcomes for the division. This includes continuous review and implementation of staff goals, objectives, and outcomes across the life cycle is expected.
  • 10% - Maintains and leverages and reports data and analytics necessary to foster appropriate planning and decision making related to recruitment, enrollment, and persistence. Active collaboration with other data-intensive units across the University (including the University Registrar, Information Technology, and PAIRS) is expected.
  • 5% - Oversee the creation and implementation of training and onboarding programs for admission, recruitment, and processing staff.
  • 5% - Other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Enrollment Management, their supervisor, or their appropriate delegates.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • Master's Degree
  • Six (6) years of admissions experience to include at least three (3) years at a director level experience in areas relative to Enrollment Management.
  • Experience supervising an office and coordinating a budget
  • Direct experience with strategic planning and assessment of objectives
  • Experience working with student enterprise systems, portals, and communication/relationship management systems; the planning and execution of outreach strategies for target populations
  • Strong communication ability
  • Proficiency in modern computer skills
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently as needed
  • Ability to travel and work non-traditional hours

WHAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO SEE
  • Terminal Degree
  • At least seven (7) years of admissions experience with at least three (3) years at a director level experience in areas relative to Enrollment Management.
  • Professional experience with developing and executing enrollment programs designed to recruit, admit, and enroll prospective students at the undergraduate, graduate levels, fully online and international students.
  • Knowledge in the current regional enrollment landscape.

SALARY: $110,000 - $120,000/annually, approximately.
  • $9,166.67 - $10,000/monthly, approximately.
  • Salary is commensurate with experience.
