The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the Global Patient Operations organization's Learning and Development day to day operations. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training programs that enhance employees' skills and drive organizational growth. The Learning and Development Manager will work closely with Global Patient Operations functional teams to identify training needs and develop strategies to meet these needs effectively.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with GPO leaders to assess training needs and identify skills gaps within the organization.
  • Training Programs: manage and execute training programs, including new hire onboarding and Train the Trainer training programs.
  • Content Development: Oversee the creation and maintenance of training materials, curriculum, and e-learning modules, ensuring they are engaging and effective.
  • Delivery and Facilitation: Coordinate and deliver training sessions, either directly or through trainers, ensuring that content is engaging and relevant to the audience.
  • GPS Releases: Responsible for GPS software release coordination and tasks completion, delta training content, and SCORM revisions.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Learning & Development professionals, providing guidance and support in their roles.
  • Identify Best Practices: Actively engage in the identification, sharing, and adaptation of best training practices cross functionally. Individuals printing or viewing a BMS controlled document from a source other than the Electronic Document Management System are responsible for ensuring that they are printing or viewing the current version.
  • LMS User Support: Provide support and training to employees and trainers on using our BMS learning management system (LMS).
  • New-Hire Onboarding: Responsible for the end-to-end New Hire Onboarding process including request management, training plan creation, and program coordination.
  • Day-to-day operations: Responsible for the coordination and management of the Learning & Development day to day operations and resources allocation to support Global Patient Operations training needs.
  • Compliance: Ensure training programs comply with relevant industry regulations and internal BMS policies and standards. Responsible for participating in and representing Learning & Development in BMS learning and Development initiatives and Community of Practice meetings.

  • Leadership skills - Proven ability to build, lead and motivate teams. Achieve organizational focus on key priorities, provide clear direction, delegate, actively communicate and coach. Value diverse and opposing views.
  • Communication skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effectively lead meetings. Strong presentation skills in both small and large group settings with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent listener; seeks broad input and feedback; frequent and effective follow-up. Reporting Relationship Position reports to Associate Director of Global Patient Operations Capabilities (GPOC)- Learning & Development Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Education, Life Science, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of people management and team building experience; delivering results through influence, coaching and collaboration with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Learning & Development.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems and e-learning tools.
  • This position requires up to 10% of travel.

The starting compensation for this job is a range from $92,000 - $115,000
plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility). The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and the geographic location where work is performed.
