JOB TITLE: Manager - Learn & Grow, Shipboard Training Support
DEPARTMENT: People Team
LOCATION: Plantation, Florida
REPORTS TO: Sr. Manager Learn & Grow
The Gig:
Virgin Voyages is looking for an experienced Manager - Learn & Grow, Shipboard Training Support to lead our service experience and on-the-job training strategy and execution for our shipboard operation teams that are responsible for delivering on Virgin Voyages epic service promise. This gig will also be responsible for designing and developing learning solutions, manage implementations and assess their outcomes.
You will work closely with the Hotel Operations team to identify training and developmental needs to enhance crew members' service delivery and role knowledge and drive suitable training initiatives which builds a culture of service that delivers positive results.

Please note this is a Shoreside based position based in Plantation, Florida focusing on supporting our shipboard teams.
What You'll Be Up To:
  • Enhances employees' skills, performance, productivity and quality of work through learning experiences and initiatives
  • Leads the design and development of blended learning solutions including but not limited to instructor led training, e-learning, job aids, and position-based departmental training.
  • Hires, schedules, assigns, and manages a team of Shipboard Training managers, providing shoreside support to the overall strategy or the role and their day-to-day activities.
  • Collaborates and strategizes with Hotel Operations to understand the training and learning needs for the crew.
  • Compiles reports on training completion and effectiveness and presents results to key stakeholders including senior leadership.
  • Monitors and evaluates training program's effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and reports on them.
  • Stay up-to-date with current training practices, training methods, learning tools, and learning devices and technologies
  • Continuously reviews learning content and adapts changes based on feedback to improve the experience.
  • Works alongside the Sr. Manager's - Learn & Grow to analyze training experiences and evaluates feedback and assessments for any enhancements
  • Coordinate training schedules, registrations, resources, and communications
  • Maintain rosters, reports, and other administrative tasks
  • Other duties as assigned.

Superpowers Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two to three years' experience as a training or learning and development manager.
  • Two to three years' experience managing a team with direct reports.
  • Three to five years' experience with instructional design, training content development, and creation of learning programs.
  • Expert knowledge and experience in hotel operations, all hotel departments, and its functions
  • Proficiency and extensive knowledge of training methods, adult learning theory, and the ADDIE model.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills with the ability to discover, understand, and translate business requirements into actionable items.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, set appropriate timelines, clarify expectations and utilize effective processes/approaches to ensure work is delivered with excellence in a timely manner.
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency of Google suite for business (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in an innovative and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with subject matter experts (SMEs) and operational leaders.
