Goodwin, the leading law firm serving clients at the busy intersection of capital and innovation, is seeking a Manager of Internal Communications to join its global, award-winning Marketing department. The Manager will lead the strategy and execution of the firm's employee engagement and Internal Communications initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Public Relations and social media, the Manager works collaboratively across the entire Marketing department, with the firm's lawyers and other global operations teams. The successful candidate is a strategic thinker and an excellent writer, with a proven ability to manage multiple, complex Internal Communications workstreams, and a track record of leading impactful employee engagement campaigns.
What You'll Do:
- Lead Internal Communications activities for the firm.
- Create and execute an employee engagement strategic plan.
- Write and edit communications in support of various initiatives across the firm's global operations departments and legal teams.
- Manage news and editorial content on the firm's intranet.
- Partner with the Talent department on communications around the signature Goodwin Experience Initiative.
- Plan and execute engagements, including town halls, with the various stakeholder groups.
- Draft speeches, talking points and related materials for internal events.
- Review, recommend and - in partnership with the awards & rankings team - pursue opportunities for the firm to be recognized as an employer of choice in the market.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of communications and employee engagement experience, at least partly gained in corporate or professional services sectors
- Experience in employee engagement and Internal Communications strategies, ideally at least partly gained in the corporate or professional services sectors.
- Superb writing and editing skills and a proven ability to modulate written content to achieve distinct objectives and engage target audiences.
- Strong executive presence. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, including ability to articulate and rally teams around a vision.
- Proven ability to create and successfully execute impactful communications strategies.
- Exceptional project management skills and superior attention to detail.
- Refined design and creative sensibility. Ability to translate complex ideas and concepts into uncluttered, well-structured and easily digestible plans and presentations.
- Deep familiarity with current and emerging employee engagement approaches, tools and trends.
