Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

This is a great opportunity to join a small but mighty Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) group which is working to support our rapidly growing organization. You will have the opportunity to bring all of your prior experience to manage our revenue and sales/marketing forecast processes. You will own the outputs for all of our revenue and inventory drivers while building a robust understanding of our lifetime value calculations and projections. You will also be a key player in the monthly business review process, and will be developing outputs and explanations for our leadership team, the board, and external investors. You'll have the opportunity and autonomy to implement best practices, learn and grow.

What you'll do

Evolve's business is complex and dynamic. We have multiple customer and partner types and an expanding suite of products and services while operating in a fast-changing, high-growth industry. In an environment like this, the FP&A function plays a critical role in helping the company forecast, plan, analyze opportunities, invest, become more efficient, and communicate with investors and third parties.

Your primary focus will be working with the Revenue and Sales/Marketing (Owner Growth) teams to build monthly forecasts and provide a deeper understanding of underlying business metrics and drivers. You will bring your knowledge of statistics and python to identify areas of opportunity to improve the forecast methodology. In addition, you will own the lifetime value model to track and project value added by new sales cohorts. You will be responsible for drilling deeper in all areas of ownership to provide robust variance analysis and explanations that will be distributed to business leaders, our leadership team, the Board of Directors, and external investors. Primary responsibilities include:

• Own bookings and revenue forecast process
• Manage sales and marketing forecasts, including staffing and output models
• Oversee one direct report (Senior Analyst focused on Sales & Marketing)
• Own and develop lifetime value model
• Incorporate more robust forecasting methodology using python where applicable
• Assist team in setting and achieving individual career development goals
• Develop and coach teammates in the spirit of continuous improvement to sharpen skills
• Build and manage output files and reports in Excel and GSheets, including financial statements and KPIs, as well as dashboard reporting in Tableau
• Run accurate and effective quarterly reviews with Revenue and Sales/Marketing leadership
• Provide proactive suggestions and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and productivity regarding Financial Planning; and assist in implementation of those ideas

What makes you a great fit

• 4+ years in a finance role, with experience in financial modeling and/or forecasting
• 1+ years of people management experience
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• Strong Proficiency in reporting and analysis in Excel
• SQL and Python/R proficiency required
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently
• Strong attention to detail
• A drive to figure it out, build it, and make it better
• Experience coaching and mentoring more junior teammates in all areas defined above

Location

We currently are able to hire throughout the U.S. except in the following states: District of Columbia, Hawaii, and Pennsylvania. There are also certain positions that may have hiring impacts in the following states: California, Maryland, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington. If you live in Colorado, you can work remotely anywhere in the state, at our downtown Denver office, or a hybrid of both!

Compensation

For this role our salary range is $111,000 to $128,000, depending on relevant experience
