Director of Financial Planning & Analysis

Annualized Compensation: $150,000 to $180,000


The Director of FP&A will be a key member of our executive team, responsible for leading the finance department and providing strategic financial guidance to ensure the companys financial strength and operating efficiency. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, operational finance skills, leadership, and integrity. The successful candidate will be instrumental in Financial Planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting, as well as in supporting the decision-making process across all levels of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Financial Leadership:
    Develop and execute the financial strategy of the company, aligning with the overall business strategy. Provide insights and guidance on Financial Planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters.

  • Financial Management and Oversight:
    Oversee all aspects of the finance functions, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, tax, and treasury activities. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and standards.

  • Team Leadership and Development:
    Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing finance team. Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, banks, auditors, and regulatory agencies. Communicate effectively with the board of directors, providing accurate and timely financial information and analysis to inform decision-making.

  • Risk Management:
    Identify and manage financial risks and opportunities. Implement robust financial controls and governance processes to mitigate risk.

  • Operational Efficiency:
    Drive efficiency and cost reduction initiatives throughout the organization, leveraging technology and process improvements to optimize financial operations.


Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree or professional finance/accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) strongly preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in financial management roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position, preferably with a tech-enabled business within the transportation industry.

  • Proven track record of strategic Financial Planning and analysis, including experience with mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and financial modeling.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a team towards excellence.

  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a proven track record of building relationships with key stakeholders and executive teams.

  • Deep understanding of Financial regulations and reporting requirements.

  • Proficient operating in NetSuite.

  • Experience within the insurance industry and/or fleet finance industry preferred.
