The Role
Manage and oversee operational aspects of the NTC Events Department, including US Open ancillary space set-up and breakdown, in-house signage and graphics operations, year-round beverage distribution, shipping and receiving (mailroom/loading dock), and asset management. Perform both operational and administrative duties in a professional and efficient manner in support of the department.
- Collaborate with Senior Manager, Event Operations to fulfill year round event needs
- Play a hands-on roll in all aspects of event set up and breakdown to include the following:
- Signage deployment
- Security/gate Set ups
- Ancillary event set ups (tables, chairs, linens, umbrellas. etc.)
- Parking Lots
- Work with Manager, Events and Community Relations to execute contracts for Year-Round Events
- Manage NTC Year Round Event financial information including invoicing for clients, individual event P&L's, and vendor payments.
- Assist in implementing operational plans for all year-round events.
- Attend all NTC events and act as "Manager on Duty" as needed
- Shipping/Receiving Operations at the NTC
- US Open Logistics (Truck Inspection, USPIS inspection process)
- Year round operations
- Management of the Pitney Bowes software for incoming/outgoing packages
- Manage procurement and invoicing process for the following US Open Rentals
- Portable Storage Units
- Portable restrooms and guard shacks
- Mobile offices
- Temporary baggage and First Aid structures
- Golf Cart and Locker Rentals
- Complete oversight of back-of-house beverage operation
- US Open and all outside events
- Manage beverage compound, inventory and seasonal staff
- Work with Tournament Ops, Broadcast, Media, Partnership Marketing and other depts. to ensure all needs are met during peak US Open timeframe
- Work directly with vendors to order product and ensure appropriate inventory levels at all times
- In conjunction with Sr. Manager, Event Operations, and Sr. Manager, Facility Operations, develop and implement a cleaning schedule for all Non-US Open events.
- Assist Sr. Manager, Event Operations with year-round storage needs at the NTC
- Manage NTC Graphics and Signage operation to include production and installation of all in-house projects.
- Oversee Asset Management of all Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment
- Utilize asset software system to update, track and maintain inventory
- Update system as new inventory is purchased and disposed
- Coordinate US Open Rideshare operation to include adequate infrastructure
- Coordinate Lost & Found operation for US Open. Work closely with Sr. Manager, Event Operations to ensure process/procedure meet NYC laws.
- Manage overall US Open parking operation while working with various City agencies including NYC Parks Dept. and the NYPD.
- In conjunction with Sr. Manager, Event Operations, and Manager, Community Relations and Events, Review collateral material related to the US Open, including but not limited to staff guides, transportation and parking materials.
- All other event support and projects as assigned by the Sr. Manager, Event Operations
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years in leadership / supervisory role (preferably in sports / theme park / special event related industry).
- Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experience.
- Strong communication / interpersonal skills
- Work well across departments.

- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
- This position is designated as "hybrid/flex" in NY and may allow for both remote and on-site work. Any such position must meet the current USTA hybrid/flex requirements as updated from time to time. Please consult HR for the most current policy."
- Position is considered Exempt (not overtime eligible)
- Forklift experience/certification preferred, or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire

The expected range for the base salary for this position is $70,000 to $83,000. This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
