Description:
- Guide and inspire exceptional team performance
- Build team capability, knowledge, and resources to meet short- and long-term business objectives
- Mentor, train, and coach team members
- Manage operational coverage, workload, and resource distribution
- Manage vacation, payroll, and scheduling
- Monitor and evaluate team performance
- Oversee the efforts to ensure service standards are consistently met and exceeded
- Support strategic planning & long-term development of financial and service goals of the Banquet department
- Enhance service and standards for the Banquet department
- Instrumental in attracting and retaining loyal guests through close working relations with Sales & Marketing
- Act as a spokesperson for the Banquet department to positive brand image with internal and external guests
- Develop innovative solutions to enhance communication of guest and service information
- Trouble shoot in complex service situations
- Oversee the facilitation of the guest experience to exceed the expectation of a luxury hotel
- Plan and coordinate with the team for unique requirements to meet the guests needs
- Greet guests upon arrival and departure
- Promote building strong relationships with guests and employees through sincere communication and demonstrating a genuine desire to serve
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in event management & hotel food and beverage
- Prior experience as Banquet Manager required.
- Strong experience in a leadership role (is preferred)
- Requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of cost controls such as labor, productivity, and other expenses
Ability to supervise staff, including but not limited to, assignment of duties, evaluating service, and taking disciplinary action when necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
