- Site owner for all Environmental, Health, and Safety Programs
- Develops, Implement & Maintains all elements of the Safety Programs
- Communicates policies and ensures facility employees create a safe, productive, and pleasant working environment.
- Leads and participates in Corporate, Customer & regulatory authorities EHS facility audits and performs follow-up actions to ensure closure of any issues.
- Surveys, compiles, and analyzes data relating to occupational and environmental health issues such as chemical exposure, PPE and ergonomics.
- Reviews capital projects to ensure compliance with Federal, State, Corporate and Local requirements.
- Leads in the management of loss prevention/property insurance recommendations.
- Leads, compiles, and/or maintain required environmental reports for the division.
- Ensures environmental permits are in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Provides technical EHS guidance to Ameron site EHS representatives.
- Assists facility personnel conduct facility accident investigations for all business units, as needed.
- Maintains working knowledge of new developments in the industry and government regulations.
- Develops and facilitates EHS training for employees on issues related to health and safety.
- Maintains SDS, REACH and other EHS records.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and environmental health, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge in OSHA, EPA, FAA, ESD and DOT guidelines and regulations
- Experience in 1.4 Explosives Safety (DOD 4145.26-M) regulations a plus
Qualifications:
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence and to effectively present information and respond to questions at various levels within the organization and regulatory agency representatives.
- Excellent organization and project management skills
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical thinking, problem solving skills and communications skills (both written and oral) with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to successfully handle multiple projects and meet critical deadlines.
- Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to relationship-building, both internally and externally
- Must be self-directed and be able to work well under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
- The right person will be flexible who wants to learn and grow professionally.
- Strong computer skills are a must, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Compensation
Salary Minimum: $80,000
Salary Maximum: $110,000
