- Partner with key business executives to transform and synthesize complex requirements and impactful business requests into innovative data and analytic solutions that create business value and unlock insights
- Provide guidance and training, and cultivate growth opportunities for team members within a Performance Coaching environment
- Provide technical supervision and constructive feedback to analytics performed by team
- Deliver key findings to members of the business through frequent presentations and direct engagement that result in actions and improved decision making
- Measure, report and strategize metrics to support Supply Chain, Operations, Retail and Omni customer experience
- Provide ad-hoc behavioral analysis utilizing SQL, Power BI, and other analytical toolsets to deliver insights and make recommendations for optimizations
- Support project management and product roadmap by refining agile backlog, determining priorities, estimating work effort and tracking progress against deliverables
- Manage end-to-end optimization processes, including prioritization, requirements gathering, implementation, measurement, and next-step recommendations
- Conceptualize, build and operationalize data products per business needs and requirement. Ability to lead a group of Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Data Engineers and BI Engineers
- Train team members on how to analyze statistical test results, with R, Python, or comparable mathematical programming languages, and propose appropriate optimizations to achieve revenue/profitability goals
- Research and troubleshoot problems & questions related to deployed analytic solutions
- Maintain knowledge on the latest data technology and best practices
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science or related field from an accredited university or college. Master’s degree preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with a strong desire to see others succeed
- A minimum of 4 years of experience leading analytic teams and/or initiatives with a focus on Supply Chain, Merchandising, Demand Planning and Retail Analytics
- Advanced knowledge of SQL/Relational Database systems (TSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or comparable)
- Advanced level skills in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of advanced statistics, data manipulation, and research methods preferred
- Ability to perform statistical analysis of A/B/N utilizing Python, R, or other comparable statistical packages
- Must be able to think both creatively and critically
- Must demonstrate the ability to interpret business data and translate into insightful recommendations, visually, verbally, and in written form
- Must be highly motivated and be able to work both independently and in a team environment
