The Walt Disney Company’s Treasury Department is responsible for developing and implementing the global Consumer Payments strategy, establishing appropriate risk management and risk mitigation measures, identifying and executing on operational and financial efficiencies, and managing global internal and external relationships in the Consumer Payments space. With total consumer payment volume exceeding $35B annually across the enterprise, the Enterprise Consumer Payments group collaborates with all lines of business and senior leadership to ensure enterprise-wide alignment of initiatives and adherence to policies.
The purpose of this role is to lead development and execution of enterprise level controls and operational support activities. For enterprise level controls, this includes leading the global development and implementation of policies and procedures aimed at pro-active risk mitigation and financial controls in collaboration with our regional teams. For operational support activities, this includes providing ad hoc operational support to the lines of business, resolving issues with our third-party partners and overseeing technology systems in use across the department.
Responsible for managing direct reports to effectively prioritize, delegate, and develop talent. Ensure projects and assignments are completed with accuracy in a timely manner.
Work Experience:
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in treasury, finance, or operational functions.
Experience with transaction businesses, or businesses that rely on processing volume / scale.
Prior experience in working across functions and business segments.
Skills / Specialized Knowledge/
Fully proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel in particular).
Strong organizational skills, follow up and follow through are required.
Excellent matrix management skills, able to work with different organizations proactively and positively in a project setting.
Ability to multi-task and operate within an organization conducting business in multiple time zones is required. Ability to prioritize and delegate to get tasks done.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships, anticipate needs, take initiative, prioritize, meet deadlines, and be resourceful and flexible, while maintaining absolute professionalism and a customer service mindset.
Proven ability to develop and deliver written and verbal communications to all levels of the enterprise.
Ability to lead and oversee work deliverables and contribute to ongoing development of direct reports.
Ability to learn new subject matters quickly and become a subject matter expert to the lines of business on consumer payment topics.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or other related field or equivalent work experience
The hiring range for this position in California is $135,000 to $165,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
