For more than 20 years, our medical team at Scripps Green Hospital has provided expert care to people in need of life-saving Organ Transplants and blood or marrow transplants in one of southern California's premier transplant centers. In 1980, Scripps developed the first blood and bone marrow transplant (BMT) program in San Diego and was one of the first in the nation to administer bone marrow stem cell transplantation. In 1990, San Diego's first liver transplant program was developed by Scripps Clinic.
Join Scripps Health as Manager, Clinic Operations - Organ Transplant Clinic where you will p rovide leadership and direction to the staff to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations, quality outcomes, while promoting a positive patient experience. Create and maintain an environment that assures nursing practice reflects established standards of care and a culture that promotes patient safety. Contributes to strategic planning of business units. Coordinate the ongoing development and productivity of the physician office practices. As the manager of the Organ Transplant Department, be responsible for the Kidney, Liver and Pancreas Transplant and Living Kidney Donor programs. As well as the General Hepatology and the Transplant General Surgery programs. Additionally, oversee and manage the Transplant Clinic at Scripps Green Hospital and several outreach clinics at various campuses.
This Manager position is located at Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla.
Position is eligible to participate in the Manager Incentive Plan.

Qualifications
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
• Minimum of Associate's degree plus five years applicable clinical experience, two of which in a leadership role.
• Graduate of an accredited program.
• Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
• Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
• Ability to effectively manage healthcare business and operational practices.
• Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and other applicable systems.
Required Certification/Registration:
• Maintains current California RN license.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required in clinical setting and all competencies/certifications required of the charge RN on the unit.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
• Bachelor's/Master's degree or MSN preferred.
• Transplantation and procurement experience highly preferred.
• Knowledge of UNOS and CMS regulatory requirements preferred.
