Position Summary:
Responsible for the overall planning, direction and operation of the general accounting functions for the Plans. Establishes and maintains an accounting system to meet the organization's needs. Responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. Ensures employees and vendors of the organization are paid accurately and timely.
This is a leadership position that requires onsite presence two days a week at the Flint location.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Five (5) years' experience in progressively more responsible complex finance or accounting roles.
- Three (3) years' experience in a supervisory role for a staff of five or more members leading or assisting in all phases of effective supervision (ie. Recruitment, performance management, training).
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Two (2) years' experience and knowledge of HMO, or PPO (e.g. accounting/finance, reinsurance, regulatory compliance, claims processing, membership/eligibility, and actuarial precepts).
