Otter Tail County is accepting applications for a part-time Maintenance Worker I to work in the Facilities Operation Department. The purpose of this position is to perform building housekeeping tasks at various Otter Tail County facilities.

This position is regularly scheduled to work Monday through Friday, six hours per day, 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The 2024 starting hourly salary for this position is $18.18 per hour, depending on qualifications, with advancement to $27.26 per hour.
The selection process will include an online employment application and supplemental questionnaire. Semi-finalists will be invited to interview. Finalists will be required to pass a background investigation prior to hire. A standard six month probation period applies.

Description

Examples of Duties
- Daily sanitization of coffee bars. Daily sanitization of restroom area including sinks, fixtures, toilets, partitions and walls. Refill soap, towel, toilet paper and neat seat dispensers. Refill air fresheners. Replace liners and sanitize sanitary napkin receptacles. Wash all mirrors and shine stainless steel. Routine use of a variety of chemical cleaning agents.
- Vacuum all carpets, rugs and upholstery. Sweep and mop floors. Wash walls, Dust and sanitize furniture and window blinds. Polish brass handrails. Empty and reline trash receptacles and collect recyclables.
- May assist with occasional snow shoveling.
- Meeting room setup, which includes, but not limited to, assembling and/or disassembling tables, determine seating arrangements and provide necessary equipment as requested.
- Wash interior and exterior entry door windows and vestibule windows. Wash selected interior windows.
- May assist with duties and responsibilities as outlined in the County Emergency Operations Plan and Continuity of Operations Plan.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Driver's License valid in the State of Minnesota
