Summary
The Maintenance Worker & Concert Assistant is a split position that will divide their time evenly between field maintenance work and assisting with the Live @ the Rog Concert Series. Field maintenance work will include lining and dragging of softball fields, while concert assistance will include communications, setup and being the day-of point person for performing artists.
The Maintenance Worker & Concert Assistant has continuous public contact requiring tact, courtesy and good judgment and requires using safety precautions when working with equipment at all times.
The Maintenance Worker & Concert Assistant will work at various Roseville parks and will work Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday 1:00pm-9:00pm, with other hours as assigned.
Essential Duties Responsibilities

- Assist with concert setup and special event preparation (training provided)
- Greet and escort concert performers, and provide amenities as needed
- Give brief concert introduction announcements for public attendees
- Groom ball fields and athletic fields with limited supervision (training provided)
- Interact with patrons, performers and other Roseville personnel in a friendly and respectful way
- Continually shows respect for diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and interests. Exhibits sensitivity to the needs of diverse audiences in all duties performed on behalf of the City to support Roseville in building and sustaining an inclusive and equitable working environment and community.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Experience/Education
- Ability to read, communicate, and do math and problem solving equivalent to a High School graduate or GED.
- Must be 18 years of age and possess valid driver's license
- Is able to communicate orally and in writing and understands, follows, and transmits written and oral instructions.
- Ability to work in an independent and safe manner
- Must be able to work Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from 1:00pm - 9:00pm.
- Is punctual, reliable and dependable in regards to work schedule.
- Must be able to work independently and complete daily activities as assigned.
- Some field maintenance experience and/or live music experience is preferred, but is not required.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

The employee will regularly work near moving mechanical parts, sound and electrical equipment and in outside weather conditions. The employee will be frequently exposed to wet, humid, hot, or cold conditions. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
Travel within the City or region to work with the community or is likely to occur intermittently which may require use of a personal vehicle.

This position is not eligible for Benefits with the City of Roseville.
