Long Term Care Maintenance Man
Job Summary: The Long Term Care Maintenance Man is responsible for the overall maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the long-term care facility. This includes routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, following life safety code.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance on facility equipment.
- Inspect, clean, and repair equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Keep records of maintenance activities and report any issues.
Building Repairs:
- Address general building repairs such as fixing leaks, painting, and replacing damaged or worn-out parts.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them promptly.
Safety Compliance:
- Ensure that the facility complies with all safety regulations and codes.
- Identify and correct safety hazards promptly.
Emergency Response:
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and address urgent issues promptly.
- Participate in the development and execution of emergency response plans.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments to address maintenance needs and provide support as required.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inspections.
- Assist in keeping an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facility maintenance In a healthcare long-term care setting.
- Knowledge of building systems, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
- Certification in Life safety
