General Maintenance Worker- Part Time!!

Brand new hotel in Franklin: Sleep Inn/Mainstay Suites looking for a very part-time maintenance person at 1 -2 days per week to start, with the opportunity for more hours based on need and demand for the position. Must be reliable, hardworking and be able to work with little or no supervision.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Maintenance professional to join our team. As a General Maintenance, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning and appearance of our facilities. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment and systems
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or projects
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in General Maintenance or related field
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Proficient in using hand and power tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written

Skills:
- Leadership: Ability to supervise and coordinate maintenance activities effectively.
- Welding: Proficient in welding techniques for repairs or fabrication.
- English: Fluency in English language for effective communication.
- Electrical: Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to perform electrical repairs.
- Schematics: Ability to read and interpret technical schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Mechanical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical systems for maintenance tasks.
- Customer Service: Ability to provide excellent customer service when interacting with employees and guests.
- Facilities Maintenance: Experience in maintaining various facilities including buildings, grounds, and equipment.
