Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains machinery, plumbing, physical structures and electrical wiring and fixtures in accordance with blueprints, manuals, building codes and company maintenance policy. They will work to create a positive team environment, as well as achieving optimum performance.
The Maintenance Technician will assist with maintaining the AAA Four Diamond standards. The Maintenance Tech I will always conduct themselves in manner which supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort: Trust, Commitment and Open & Honest Communication. They shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times and for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!
Responsibilities

• Inspects machinery and mechanical equipment for defects
• Dismantles machines or equipment to gain access to defective parts and repairs them, using hand tools.
• Repairs canvas, leather, or rubber drive belts and replaces them on machines
• Cleans, lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, pulleys and other parts of machine, using rags, brushes and grease gun
• Measures, cuts and installs pipe and tubing for gas, water and hydraulic lines, using ratchet, cutting die and threading die
• Repairs and replaces gages, valves, pressure regulators and other plumbing equipment and opens clogged drains, using plunger and plumber's tools
• Makes minor repairs on electrical or replaces wiring and fixtures
• Makes and repairs counters, benches, partitions and other wooden structures, using saws, braces, bits and other carpenter's tools
• Paint walls, floors, woodwork and fixtures of establishment, using spray gun and brushes
• Performs other work related duties as assigned
• Comply with all Sunriver policies, procedures, and safety regulations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic carpentry, electric and plumbing experience required
• Accredited or comparable industry training in basic electrical repairs, general heating and cooling and appliance repair required
• At least one year experience in light electrical repairs, basic heating and cooling, carpentry, plumbing, furniture, appliances and general household repairs to include preventative maintenance procedures
• Prior hospitality experience preferred
• At least three years customer service experience preferred
• Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Must have valid Oregon Driver's license and meet company driving standards
• Must be able to work with power operated landscaping equipment
• Must have excellent leadership skills
• Must be able to act with a high level of autonomy
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
