A maintenance millwright is a professional who oversees the maintenance, repair, and upgrade of industrial equipment. They work with machines like pumps, valves, air compressors, and hydraulics, as well as with electrical systems. They also deal with tasks like installing equipment, transferring tanks across steel-mills, and performing routine maintenance. They use various tools and techniques, such as welding, cutting, and operating forklifts and crane operations. Their duties often include troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing major components of drive systems, installing security systems, and performing tasks like aligning critical equipment and lubricating equipment unit-wide. They may also work with full personal protective equipment (PPE), such as acid/hot suits, in-line breathing air, and body harnesses. They are skilled at various types of welding, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding, and they may also be trained in fabricating parts for modifying production equipment.
This position would require general knowledge of roll-forming and CNC machinery, welding, electrical background, etc... and willingness to help with production as needed.
