Maintenance Technician

Summerset Marine, a leading pier and lift company, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, and repairing diesel trucks, barges, and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with diesel engines and hydraulics, as well as a strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.

PAY: $25-35 based on experience.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Inspect, operate, and test marine engines and electrical systems to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Repair and install engines, navigational equipment, operating systems, pumps, hydraulics, and steering mechanisms.
• Follow and maintain, a monthly maintenance schedule.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective actions.
• Act as a liaison between supervisors and relevant professionals and vendors.
• Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience/Educational Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent..
• Welding skills are preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English, including safety rules, operating procedures, manuals, etc.
• Ability to complete tasks and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
• Valid driver’s license. CDL Class A is great!
• Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints is a plus.
