Job Description
The Maintenance Technician I needs to be able to work unsupervised, must be able to prioritize tasks, be self motivated, team oriented, and have good people skills. This person must have current knowledge of repair and maintenance as well as basic knowledge of Code and Permit requirements, to assure the safety of the people we serve along with staff in the homes and the PCL offices.
Location: Grants Pass Administrative Office (with regular travel to PCL locations)
Position Type: Full Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
Wage: $19/hr paid every other Friday

Basic Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Pass a State/Federal Criminal History Check with potential fingerprinting check.
- Background screening including employment and education history.
- Pre-employment drug screening (for the use of illegal substances in Oregon).
- Must possess a valid Drivers License. Must be insurable by PCL’s insurance carrier to drive agency vehicles.
- Be able to be certified and maintain certification with First Aid/CPR.
Job Specific Duties:
- Fix and repair items as identified on work orders or otherwise assigned.
- Assist with moves, as needed.
- Pickup and delivery of all items such as office furniture, furniture to homes, etc.
- Complete duties associated with monthly preventative maintenance responsibilities.
- Assist in keeping truck, shop, and assigned workspaces clean
- Responsible for tracking and maintaining equipment.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for the assigned area. On a regular rotation, this position is on-call for the assigned area for 7 consecutive days. The on-call schedule is generally posted 8 or more weeks in advance.
- While on-call this person is expected to:
- Remain within a thirty-minute response time radius of their assigned area
- Carry a fully charged and operable phone; ensure access to all numbers and information needed to provide quick and accurate support to people served.
- Answer all calls for the on-call, including; responding to questions, and physically reporting to any home in the assigned area to provide assistance, support, and/or direct care duties as needed.
