Reports to: VP of Facilities
Looking for a Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for facilities care in the clubs including repairs to gym equipment, and minor repairs to mechanical and electrical issues at Crunch Fitness - Undefeated Tribe.
Undefeated Tribe is an official franchise of Crunch Fitness based in Austin, TX. The Undefeated Tribe is expanding the Crunch Fitness brand across Texas and Oklahoma over the next two years and will be inviting over 500 individuals to join their team to help their community experience fitness, wellness, relaxation, and recovery.

Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is a task-oriented individual who appreciates high standards of excellence and is committed to maintaining a clean, crisp, and inviting club environment. The Maintenance Technician will perform minor repairs to club amenities such as message chairs and tanning beds and other gym equipment.
Responsibilities
Facilities Care
- Perform routine club-walk-through to ensure the condition of clubs is upheld to ensure a positive member experience that represents the Crunch Fitness brand
- Maintain and update online ticket submission tool, recording and maintaining a schedule of historical repair needs for each club
- Train and educate club team members to performs day-to-day operational upkeep of the club’s facility and equipment
- Monitors and replaces light bulbs in all assigned facilities, as needed
- Transport goods or equipment as assigned
- Solicits bids and quotes from vendors and dispatch contractors to repair and maintain facilities, as necessary
- Evaluate contractors work to ensure proper repairs were made after service calls
Break-Fix Solutions
- Perform routine club walk-throughs to ensure maintenance and repairs meet Crunch standards
- Ensure maintenance issues are responded to and resolved according to Crunch SLA guidelines
- Repair and maintain fitness and UV tanning equipment
- Manage daily/weekly reports and schedules accordingly
- Manage and control parts inventory in the assigned clubs
Preventative Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance of all assets, with a primary emphasis on the preventative maintenance of fitness equipment
- Conduct a daily walk through to assess fitness equipment conditions and prioritize workload
- Ensure all fitness center equipment is functioning safely and correctly
- Track all preventative maintenance information in the Woven maintenance tracking system
- Manage & maintain an inventory of parts with accurate records of parts used, exchanged etc.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in building maintenance or retail maintenance environments required
- Proficiency computer skills required
- Ability to use date to improve business operations
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to bend, lift, and carry more than 75 lbs.
- Continual standing and walking during shift
- Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals
- Typical schedule is Monday-Friday (4-8 hours per day)
- Schedule is based on the needs of the business and emergency calls may be required
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must have valid driver’s license
Compensation (Salary)
- $38,000 - 45,000 depending on experience
