SalaryPosition:Facilities Maintenance Technician
Summary: Nesco has teamed up with a Gates, NY-based company in search of an entry-level Facilities Maintenance Technician. The role entails conducting routine maintenance and repairs on buildings and properties. Additionally, the technician will receive training in preventative maintenance and equipment repairs for the manufacturing floor. Interested? Apply Today!
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform general repairs and maintenance on building and property
- Assist with troubleshooting and repair of equipment
- Perform electrical/mechanical Performance Maintenance duties on machinery
- Assist in the installation of new equipment as well as mechanical repairs to machinery
- Carefully read equipment manuals and interpret drawings to maintain equipment properly
- Abide by safety regulations during manufacturing activities
- Keep records of maintenance activities
- Prioritize daily work orders to a level of importance
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be able to speak, read & write in the English language
- Strong written & verbal skills
- Demonstrated basic technical & mechanical competence
- Ability to understand mechanical schematic, is a plus
- Basic electrical skills
- CNC experience, is a plus
- Problem-solving skills
- Welding skills, is a plus
- Root Cause analysis and logical thinking skills
- Attention to detail
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs independently
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods
- Must be able to bend, crouch and crawl, as needed
- High School diploma/GED
- 1 years Facilities Maintenance
- Technical Associates Degree, a plus
- Electrician certificate or equivalent experience a plus
- Dependable employee
- Ability & Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
Pay: $17 per hour
Shift: 7:30AM – 4PM Monday – Friday (Possible Overtime Opportunities)
