Job Details:
Are you a dynamic, problem-solving individual with a knack for machinery and equipment? Then this opportunity might be just for you. We are a leading manufacturing company seeking an experienced and skilled Permanent Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of our industrial machinery and equipment. You will be a part of a team that ensures the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes. This position requires a hands-on approach and a deep understanding of various machinery and equipment.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of machines and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with hydraulics, pneumatics, and other mechanical systems.
3. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand equipment and control systems.
4. Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
5. Make necessary adjustments to equipment systems, ensuring proper operation.
6. Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
7. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
8. Document all performed work, repairs, and maintenance in a detailed and timely manner.
9. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest changes that increase equipment productivity.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, blueprints, and preventative maintenance.
3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
4. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent knowledge of safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. High school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in a technical, engineering, or relevant field will be a plus.
9. Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus.
10. Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work overtime if necessary.
